Cynlluniodd Morris gartref i'w deulu, Y Tŷ Coch yn Bexley, Caint, lle trigodd y cwpl ifanc rhwng 1859-1865, cyn symud i Bloomsbury, canol Llundain, mae'r Ty bellach dan ofal yr Ymddiriedolaeth Genedlaethol. Ym 1861, sefydlodd Morris gwmni celfyddydau addurnol gydag Edward Burne-Jones, Rossetti, Webb, ac eraill: daeth cwmni Morris, Marshall, Faulkner & Co. yn ffasiynol iawn ac roedd llawer o alw am eu gwaith. Dylanwadodd y cwmni'n fawr ar addurno mewnol drwy gydol y cyfnod Fictoraidd, gyda Morris yn dylunio tapestrïau, papur wal, ffabrigau, dodrefn, a ffenestri lliw. Ym 1875, cymerodd Morris reolaeth lwyr dros y cwmni, a ailenwyd yn Morris & Co.
Er iddo gadw prif gartref yn Llundain, o 1871 Morris enciliodd i dŷ gwledig ar rent sef Kelmscott Manor, Swydd Rydychen. Bu ymweliadau Morris â Gwlad yr Iâ yn ddylanwad mawr arno ac ar y cyd gyda Eiríkr Magnusson cynhyrchodd cyfres o gyfieithiadau Saesneg o'r Sagâu Islandeg.
Cyhoeddodd nifer o gyfrolau o farddoniaeth, ffuglen ac addasiadau o destunau canoloesol, yn cynnwys The Defence of Guenevere and Other Poems (1858), The Earthly Paradise (1868–1870), A Dream of John Ball a News from Nowhere. Sefydlodd y Cynghrair Sosialaidd yn 1884.
