Ob durch den Einfluss, den es auf unsere Entscheidungen ausübt, seine Auswirkungen auf die technologische Entwicklung oder seine Relevanz in der Geschichte: League of Historical Cities ist zu einem zentralen Diskussions- und Debattenthema geworden. Seine Bedeutung erstreckt sich über ein breites Spektrum von Bereichen, von Politik und Wirtschaft bis hin zu Kultur und Unterhaltung. In diesem Artikel werden wir verschiedene Aspekte von League of Historical Cities und seinen Einfluss auf die heutige Welt untersuchen.
Die League of Historical Cities (dt. „Liga historischer Städte“) ist eine 1987 in Japan gegründete Vereinigung internationaler „historischer Städte“. Die Zentrale der Non-Profit-Organisation befindet sich im japanischen Kyōto.
Mitglieder sind weltweit 128 Städte (Stand 2023). Die Städteliga ist Partner des Programms der Vereinten Nationen für menschliche Siedlungen (UN-HABITAT), des International Councils on Monuments and Sites (ICOMOS) sowie der Organization of World Heritage Cities (OWHC).
