Monsieur Philippe I, Adipati Orléans (21 September 1640 – 9 Juni 1701) merupakan putra yang lebih muda Raja Louis XIII dari Prancis dan istrinya, Ana dari Austria. Kakandanya adalah "Raja Matahari", Louis XIV. Ia bergelar Adipati Anjou sejak kelahirannya, Philippe menjadi Adipati Orléans setelah kematian pamandanya Gaston pada 1660. Pada 1661, Philippe juga menerima kadipaten Valois dan Chartres. Setelah kemenangan Philippe di medan perang pada 1671, Louis XIV menambahkan kadipaten Nemours, marquis Coucy dan Folembray, serta gelar comte Dourdan dan Romorantin.

Meskipun ia terbuka tentang perilaku homoseksualitasnya dan dengan bebas bertindak seperti banci, ia menikah dua kali dan menjadi ayah dari beberapa anak. Ia adalah pendiri Wangsa Orléans, cabang kadet Wangsa Bourbon yang memerintah, dan dengan demikian leluhur langsung dari Louis Philippe I, yang memerintah Prancis sejak 1830 hingga 1848 dalam Monarki Juli. Melalui keturunan dari dua pernikahannya, Philippe menjadi leluhur dari sebagian besar keluarga kerajaan Katolik Roma modern, dan memberinya julukan "kakek Eropa". Ia juga menjadi komandan militer dalam Pertempuran Cassel pada tahun 1677. Dengan pengelolaan administrasi pribadi yang baik, Philippe meningkatkan kekayaan Wangsa Orléans.
