Casepeat (born Kim Ki-Won on May 20, 1992) is a South Korean electronic music producer, DJ, and composer. He is known for his work in the trance and progressive electronic music genres, and has also composed film scores.
Casepeat began his career in electronic music production in the mid-2010s. His work includes releases on international labels such as Subculture, Nocturnal Knights Music, Regenerate Records, AVA Recordings, and Suanda Progressive.
His music has gained support on prominent global trance radio shows. Tracks like "Theory of Everything" have been featured on Armin van Buuren's A State of Trance,[1] and "108" was played on Aly & Fila's Future Sound of Egypt.[2] Other notable plays include "Reverie (Casepeat Remix)" on Paul van Dyk's VONYC Sessions[3] and "I Am Strange But I Love You" on Andrew Rayel's Find Your Harmony.[4] His track "Jebudo Island" was featured on Solarstone's Pure Trance Radio.[5]
Casepeat has performed at international music festivals and events. These include EDC Korea 2025 at Inspire Entertainment Resort in Incheon[6] and Mark Sherry’s Outburst Records 10-Year Anniversary Label Night at Zero Tokyo.[7] He also performed at John’s Birthday Party at Amnesia Bangkok. He hosts weekly live shows on Afterhours.FM’s "Play It Forward" program.[8]
Beyond electronic music production, Casepeat has contributed to film as a composer. He composed original scores for the short film God’s Daughter Dances, which has received awards,[9] and for the feature film Peafowl.[10]
As of 2025, Casepeat has registered over 110 musical works with the Korea Music Copyright Association (KOMCA).[11] Beatport chart performance shows several of his tracks, including "108" (#22 Trance (Main Floor)) and "Feeling" (#24 Trance (Main Floor)), have placed highly on trance charts.[12]
