Shefket Musliu (born 1969 in Končulj, Serbia) was an Albanian soldier and commander who fought in the Kosovo War and the Preševo Valley conflict. Musliu was one of the leaders of the Liberation Army of Preševo, Medveđa and Bujanovac (UCPMB), an Albanian militant insurgent group fighting for separation from the Federal Republic of Yugoslavia for three municipalities: Preševo, Medveđa, and Bujanovac.[1][2] Musliu surrendered to the Kosovo Force at a checkpoint along the Ground Safety Zone on May 26, 2001. He was later arrested by NATO and was wanted by both the UN Mission in Kosovo and the Serbian government for his role in the insurgency in the Preševo Valley.
