South Bank University Sixth Form is a sixth form centre with academy status located in the Brixton area of the London Borough of Lambeth, England.

Established in 2016, the institution was previously known as South Bank Engineering UTC and then South Bank UTC.

History

South Bank Engineering UTC was established as a University Technical College in September 2016, with a capacity for 600 pupils. The UTC was sponsored by London South Bank University, Guy's and St Thomas' NHS Foundation Trust, King's College Hospital NHS Foundation Trust and Skanska. UTCs are specialist 14-19 state-funded schools led by universities and industry sponsors. In line with other UTCs across the country, South Bank had a specialism aligned to a skills gap in the local economy. In this case with an engineering and health focus, sectors struggling to recruit sufficient staff in London with the required skills and experience.

A 2019 Ofsted report found that the UTC "requires improvement".

In September 2023 South Bank UTC was re-registered as an academy sixth form, changing its lower age intake to 16. The institution was renamed South Bank University Sixth Form, and continues to be sponsored by London South Bank University, as part of South Bank Academies.
