I have made a number of changes to this page to increase clarity and reduce redundancy and also to bring it more in line with the equivalent pages for and . The changes made are as follows:
1) Removal of Text Detailing Main Characters : This section was redundant as each of the main characters has their own pages.
2)Ammended the Recurring Characters Section: Split into three separate sections of Crime Lab, Police Officers and Relatives and Friends. These sections are organised by the chronological appearance of each character.
3) Added Characters : I added Chief Sinclair as he has made 7 appearances (more than several of the others listed) and i also added Lucy Messer to the Relatives section.
4) General Updates : Updated various statuses of some of the minor characters and changed "Notable Villains and Serial Killers" to "Notable Villains", as the latter was redundant.
I did not shade any of the new sections to mark the characters as "no longer current" as apart from Adam Ross CSI:NY does not have a body of currently recurring Crime Lab techs in the way that the other shows do, meaning that the entire Crime Lab section would have been shaded. I have changed it from "The 34th Floor (Voice Only)" to "Vacation Getaway" as her voice isn't heard during the 34th Floor. thanks guys. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 78.148.21.19 (talk) 19:00, 18 November 2010 (UTC)
When you're killed you're dead. And when you're dead you aren't alive. Why is Reed killed but still alive? Sly4nothing (talk) 23:03, 28 February 2011 (UTC)
I really dislike the changes made to this page by Jane Rizzoli. In the first place, they are entirely unnecessary because all of the main characters have their own detailed page (many of the minor characters have a paragraph) and we don't need all this stuff here. This page is for a basic overview only. It's a list, not a book. Second, I think the design of the table is very ugly. (I realize this is just a personal opinion.) I've seen what she's done to the Vegas and Miami pages and don't like them either. What do others think? Jaguar766 (talk) 22:28, 3 September 2011 (UTC)
Well, if we're voting, I vote to remove all the stuff at the top of the page and put it back to just a list. As for the table, Box99Tube's version is an acceptable compromise, so I'll vote for that. Now what? What are the rules here? Do we wait for more comments (is there a time limit) or does one of us just change the page? Jaguar766 (talk) 22:30, 15 September 2011 (UTC)
FYI, the "Status" column has been removed from the page as it does not conform to the out-of-universe treatment standard for fictional topics. RAP was correct in noting that the page should be standardized (instead of simply removing them from the main character section) and so I have completed the cleanup. --Ckatzchatspy 16:42, 9 October 2012 (UTC)
