While this template is a useful idea, I have my doubts about the sub-genre section, including as it does "action-adventures" which is really a hybrid and not a sub-genre, "interactive movie" which is debatable as an adventure category, and "amateur" which may be a category but is not really a genre.
As it stands I think the section title is misleading.. thoughts? Playclever (talk) 01:02, 9 February 2009 (UTC)
We have Eroge, Bishōjo game and Otome game under dating sim, which they are not. All three are determined by the game's content, and have no connection to specific gameplay or presentation. They are still typicaly either dating sims Visual novels or hybrids of these though Ayrix (talk) 00:01, 1 July 2011 (UTC)
Hi all, I wonder if there is some criteria for which companies to include in this infobox. I am especially thinking of those companies that did not only exclusively develop or publish adventure games, but also other kinds of games. Unless determined otherwise by the Wikipedia community, my sense is that companies that predominantly published adventure games, or companies that were notable for publishing adventure games (even if they also published many other kinds of games, like LucasArts), are eligible to be included in the list. Thank you. (talk) user:Al83tito 16:10, 6 July 2018 (UTC)
Hi all, I suggest that the sidebar be by default expanded, so that readers do not need to click several times to expand each of the sections within. If the layout of a particular article in which this sidebar is placed, warrants the collapsing of the template, the editors there have the ability of set it to collapsed. Thank you.(talk) user:Al83tito 00:15, 8 July 2018 (UTC)
