This template is terrible. Adding this to a page will increase almost any page to unacceptable size. Either this template has to redone as a navigation box. Or it has to be deleted. Arnoutf07:26, 13 April 2007 (UTC)
Navigation Box
I like the navigation box, but I think that too many links were removed. the world's largest buildings and list of buildings are definitely relevant enough to be included in here and the terms are common to the related see also pages from what I seen.--Jorfer13:49, 14 April 2007 (UTC)
Go ahead and add them back; I set this up as a start. World's tallest buildings is linked by both the title and below that to the left. –Pomte13:58, 14 April 2007 (UTC)
Buildings and structures vs structures vs buildings
There are many inconsistencies in use word structure in articles and tables. Someone mean Architectural structure, someone Nonbuilding structure. That cause many problems in template like this or in categorization. I think we must discuss and decide, what meaning of structure we will use. But i am not sure, if there is best place for that, maybe better will be there. --Jklamo14:41, 14 April 2007 (UTC)
Hong Kong
Hi, i removed Hong Kong from the template, because i think in a sense of that list Hong Kong is more city than country. --Jklamo20:13, 24 June 2007 (UTC)
I readded these because they are related by being building extremes. It may be a loose fit, but that is why I moved it to the relevant architecture. A section can be added as "other building extremes" if this is deemed unsuitable. This template does not need to have a very strict adherence to the title.--Jorfer (talk) 02:00, 19 June 2009 (UTC)
I see what you mean... Maybe another template with lists of the largest/tallest/biggest/longest etc. structures can be created. This could include longest bridges and tunnels as well as any other lists of significant architectural feats. Just a suggestion. --timsdad(talk)02:14, 19 June 2009 (UTC)
Because if someone is looking for tallest building information we want them using this template instead, since it is more comprehensive. We can have this template link to the tallest buildings and structures article, but from there they should see this template and use this one instead. We would add the proposed template to that article.--Jorfer (talk) 15:59, 19 June 2009 (UTC)
For those being linked to this discussion by a few of my recent edit summaries moving articles for consistency, if you feel that this was unnecessary or wrong, please add your opinion here. Thanks, timsdad(talk)12:57, 8 July 2009 (UTC)
Sorry, I guess that was a bit unclear. The bolded ones are the ones I personally feel should be added to the new template. None of them are in the TBSW template. --timsdad(talk)08:18, 4 August 2009 (UTC)
Name of template
Just reviving this discussion again... What would we call the template, and where exactly would we place it? My ideas, such as Template:Longest, largest, tallest and Template:Structures all suck. --timsdad(talk)11:43, 18 November 2009 (UTC)
Let us name it "Structure Extremes" and title the template Template:SE and place it on the pages linked in it. Other editors will place it on other pages as appropriate.--Jorfer (talk) 00:15, 24 November 2009 (UTC)
I've created the template, but it seems a bit small at the moment and I'm not sure if the formatting's all that great either. --timsdad(talk)06:42, 24 November 2009 (UTC)
OK, I made some changes. It is small, which is why I changed my mind and included the tallest building article as well as the tallest structures article, but it will grow as new articles are created. This is probably not going to be very large though, since other extremes do not generate the same interest as height.--Jorfer (talk) 17:04, 11 December 2009 (UTC)
