adding

Does anyone mind me adding this to the various country pages? I've asked as well on the main commonwealth talk pages. I'll go ahead and do it for now. If anyone has any objections then we'll see if we can sort it out. - Chrism 17:50, 18 Feb 2004 (UTC)

it would be best to switch this template to the Foreign relations of <COUNTRYNAME> articles (if it exists, and they do for most countries), some people don't like these templates to clutter up the main country articles. i've done this for Australia at Foreign relations of Australia. clarkk 01:06, 8 Apr 2005 (UTC)

Sorting order

In what order is this list sorted? -- Kaihsu 15:23, 2004 Feb 20 (UTC)

I have been wondering the same thing for some days. Morwen 15:26, Feb 20, 2004 (UTC)
It seems to move from Europe to the Americas and then to Africa and then Asia and then Oceania. Perhaps in the order of increasing distance from the home nations? -- Kaihsu 15:29, 2004 Feb 20 (UTC)
It's basically the order on the Commonwealth page - by continent, then by date of membership. - Chrism 18:41, 20 Feb 2004 (UTC)
Erk. Can it be made alphabetical or by contintent, then alphaetically? It looks random at the moment. Morwen 18:42, Feb 20, 2004 (UTC)

Remove India's "dependencies"

Can established users please remove the dependency entries for India (i.e. Andaman & Nicobar Islands and Lakshadweep) because they dont fit into this catagory. See the exact definitions in these 2 articles: Dependent territory and Union Territory of India.

Commonwealth suspends Pakistan

{{editprotected}} More here: reuters.com

Yes, and Fiji is suspended already. What edit do you propose? Sandstein (talk) 20:52, 23 November 2007 (UTC)

Fiji has been ejected

Fiji has been ejected since 2006 but it is still not deleted at the template--87.96.137.18 (talk) 01:33, 28 November 2007 (UTC)

{{editprotected}} Please remove the unnecessary background colour background:#ddf; from the titlestyle line. It is not consistent with most of the other country templates, which use the default colour. Also, it seems Fiji should be removed according to the above. –Pomte 21:13, 17 December 2007 (UTC)

Background color removed. Fiji has been kept (and Pakistan re-added) since our article says that suspended members are still considered members of the organization. If someone really wanted to, I guess they could suggest making a new section for suspended members. --- RockMFR 00:48, 19 December 2007 (UTC)

Edit request

{{editprotected}} Hi. Please replace the current code with the following. It moves the flag to the titlebar and reformats the template into two sections, thereby using space more efficiently (esp. for the dependencies). It also implements the more-widely compatible {{nowrap begin}}..{{·w}}..{{nowrap end}} linewrap handling (with corresponding liststyling) for the lists of links.

Fiji IS still a member state of the Commonwealth

Fiji is still legally a member state of the Commonwealth, as suspension does NOT terminate a country's membership. - (203.211.71.211 (talk) 08:22, 8 October 2013 (UTC))

The Gambia has withdrawn from the Commonwealth

The Gambia's name needs to be removed from the template of member states, as it withdrew from the Commonwealth early last week, thanks to The Gambia's nutcase dictator, Yahya Jammeh. - (203.211.71.211 (talk) 08:22, 8 October 2013 (UTC))

The Gambia has returned to the Commonwealth - as from the 8 February 2018!

Please add The Gambia, which should be between Fiji and Ghana, as The Gambia has returned to the Commonwealth as from 8 February 2018. - (101.98.104.241 (talk) 17:46, 9 February 2018 (UTC))
