Universal Horror Unleashed is an upcoming 110,000-square-foot (2.5-acre) Halloween-themed attraction under construction at Area15, an entertainment complex located in Las Vegas, Nevada, and in development at Universal Studios Great Britain. Announced in January 2023, it is the second Halloween-themed experience from Universal Destinations & Experiences, after Halloween Horror Nights. The attraction is set to open in 2025, at Area15.
History
In January 2023, Universal announced a new "horror experience" called Universal Horror Unleashed, which is set to be the anchor tenant in a 20-acre expansion of Area15. Unlike Universal's seasonal Halloween Horror Nights events, it will be a permanent and year-round fixture, occupying a 110,000-square-foot (2.5-acre) space. On March 8, 2023, Universal's theme park division Universal Parks and Resorts changed their name to Universal Destinations & Experiences. Construction began in October 2023, with the walls erected by December 18, 2023. The attraction is expected to open in 2025. By December 2023, Universal Horror Unleashed was confirmed to be duplicated for the upcoming Universal Studios Great Britain.
