I want to add my village name, Samuja, to Ahore Tehsil's list of villages." "Samuja has a long history of significance and a prominent presence in the Ahore and Jalore areas."
1. "Samuja Village shares a long and significant history with the Sureshwar Mahadev Mandir, located on Asrana Parvat in Pandagra village, Ahore Tehsil. This temple is considered the largest Mahadev temple in the area. Sureshwar Mahadev Temple, situated in Ahor, Jalore district, is a famous pilgrimage site with a history spanning over 700 years. Dedicated to Lord Shiva, it is nestled on Aisrana Mountain. A well-known story associated with the temple recounts that Thakur Soorsingh Udawat of Samuja village was hunting an animal on Aisrana Mountain. The animal, an incarnation of Lord Shankar, entered a cave. When Thakur Soorsingh followed it into the cave, Lord Shankar appeared to him in the form of a child and revealed that the animal had now manifested as Sureshwar Mahadev. Following this divine encounter, Thakur Soorsingh Udawat of Samuja abandoned hunting and commissioned the construction of the temple."
2. Like Sureshawar Mahadev Mandir, another temple in Ahore tehsil, known as Mada Bhakri Mandir, Ahore, is a famous pilgrimage site with a history shared with Samuja village, dating back over 700 years. At that time, Lord Shankar appeared before Samuja Thakur Jabar Singh Udawat and gave him Darshan, which led to the people of Samuja having great faith in this holy place. Later, Sureshawar Mahadev gave Darshan to Samuja Thakur Soorsingh Udawat, further strengthening people's faith shifting to SureshawarMahadevMandir. Over time, more and more people were attracted to it. Samuja holds the distinction of being the original Udawat village in Jalore. The Udawats boast a rich history in Marwad, having ruled Jaitaran (Pali), which was considered the largest and most prosperous princely state in the region. Consequently, the Udawats of Samuja embody this legacy of pride and significance. This rich heritage has established Samuja as a crucial village in the area of ahore and jalore from its inception.
