Sylvia Efua Davis

Sylvia Efua Davis (born 14 May 1993), professionally known as Sylvia Davis, is a Ghanaian actress, brand influencer, and project coordinator. She rose to prominence for her lead role as Pearl in the 2024 feature film Pawn, produced by Lynx Entertainment and Tigon Studios.[1]

Davis began her acting journey in 2008 through stage performances at Mfantsiman Girls’ Senior High School before entering professional acting in 2022 with a lead role in Resolution. Since then, she has starred in several films and series, including When I Die (2023), Ashes of Affection (2024), 13 Kinds of Women (2024), and Tales of Shades (2025). She is also the voice behind a character in the radio series Exes on Hitz FM.

She has been described as "Ghallywood’s new queen" by Nigerian entertainment media for her emotional range and screen presence.[2]

Outside of acting, Davis is the project coordinator for the Special Lady Awareness Campaign, an initiative dedicated to reproductive health education and the distribution of sanitary products to underprivileged girls in Ghana. She holds a degree in Marketing from the University of Professional Studies in Accra.

In 2023, she was nominated for "Best Actress in a Leading Role" at the Ghana Entertainment & Movie Awards (GEMA), and for "Supreme African Promising Actress of the Year" at the Supreme Dynamic Talent Academy Awards.

Early life and Education

Sylvia Davis was born in Takoradi, Ghana, and hails from Elmina in the Central Region. She attended Ridge International School, Mfantsiman Girls’ SHS, and later earned a Marketing degree from UPSA in Accra.

Her screen debut came with the film Resolution (2022). She later took lead and supporting roles in several productions including:
