Hello, Template names are supposed to be completely descriptive of their function and of their flow.

We are supposed to name them long, then create a shortcut to them that is succinct and memorable.

To that end, the long template name has a very germane shortcut name.

To nominate a template for deletion based on the longness of its name is contrary to the instructions for the naming conventions of templates.

Please, kindly withdraw your nomination on that basis.

Bradwalls1992 so, here's the thing. I've removed a significant amount of sources that were in the article that were either redundant or from unreliable sources (see WP:FORBESCON for example). The main issue is that while the content in the "Career" section is well-sourced, it's not significant biographical coverage. The reference I've left in "Early life" would work if Aerial Photography Awards were a reliable source, but they aren't. Additionally, since they don't have an article, nor much coverage that I could find, it's unlikely that winning a category in the contest gives notability.

However, if you have any reliable source that gives that level of biographic coverage of you, that should be sufficient. Elli (talk | contribs) 05:03, 9 March 2021 (UTC)

Hi Elli. Thanks for reviewing and providing your comments. I have rebuilt the content solely focusing on style to pass WP:Artist. Many artists pages are less biographical (birth place, education etc) and focus on their significant artistic impact in society, a great example of this is Maria Svarbova. Hello! The change I wish you make is regarding the parameter concerning promotion. Teams can only be promoted from the second-tier to the first-tier and not from the first-tier to the first-tier. When i write in teams that are promoted to the Premier League in 1997/98 e.g. Bolton, Barnsley and Crystal Palace which are the right ones they can't be promoted to Premier League but from the First Division. New teams can fix that issue. There's a good skeleton here, and some meat on its bones would make a comprehensive reference work. Cool World: A former GA delisted just last month, Nathan Rabin's spectacular piece for The A.V. Club back in 2007 (quite the source in its own right) comments that Wikipedia has a great entry on this, and it can again. The story of this film's failure, notorious in animation circles, is chronicled in depth in as many sources as a curious writer looking to bring this article back to glory could want. Quarter Million-tier yearly pageviews sweeten the deal. American poetry: This big topic was an early FA -- could you make it one again? Now stymied by unsourced and dated additions, this article deserves the same artistic virtue as the works it describes. Category 3 Articles in this category have been assessed through a content review process in the past, but may require work to be brought up to current GA/FA standard. Editors can help bring them to a level where the star or plus near their names can once again shine. This issue's Category 3 articles are: Python (programming language): This 2007 GA (swept in 2009) has been recommended for reassessment, although no GAR has been opened. With over two and a half million views a year, the readers of this widely read article deserve the best they can get. Grunge: The sound of the 1990s is an FA currently undergoing review. The FAR discusses overquoting, prose, cite formatting, and length as issues -- all matters a knowledgeable editor can help with. This important article has had a star since 2005, and deserves help to keep it. Icelandic Naming Committee: A short GA on an oddball topic with outstanding maintenance tags, in need of updating and perhaps expansion. My experience is that restrictions on Wikipedia never get lifted. In that ANI discussion there is one person who viciously attacked me by falsely characterizing what I did in April 2013. That is 8 years ago. There is no way to earn forgiveness on Wikipedia. It is denied and instead one is reattached and republished without end.John Pack Lambert (talk) 23:41, 16 April 2021 (UTC)

Not only do restrictions not get lifted, if I mess up and only wait 22 hours to nominate a new article for deletion someone opens an ANI against me. The clear intention of some is to destroy any contribution I make to Wikipedia. There is little other way to explain that one editor has nominated over 100 articles I created for deletion. There was at least one day he nominated 5 articles I created for deletion, and there were some weeks he nominated over 20 articles I created for deletion. Hi, @Elli. I noticed that you made a statement in my direction, during the AfD discussion, that you "didn't mean to imply that I thought that albums need to be chart to be notable". I totally understand that. When I typed my sentence of "One thing I will say..." I felt that I had a limited ability to prevent that I was insinuating that about you. My attempt at mitigating that was by implicitly referencing the coverage concern at the end, with "...especially since the other concern..."

To summarize, I did not intentionally imply that you thought only charting albums should be on Wikipedia, but I understand why you felt the need to make your defense of such.

Anyways, while I expressed my opinion to keep the Köld page in a strong way, I can appreciate that you did help spotlight legitimate issues with the article. I have also bought a CD copy of the album, in hopes that I can perhaps add information from its liner notes to the page.

Hello! Is it possible to add a new teams parameter to the infobox football league season template. It should tell who are new teams in the country's top-tier division. The teams can't be promoted from the Premier League to the Premier League but they can be promoted from the second-tier and other-tier divisions. The article is currently sourced in whole to a single page in a single book! Category 2 Articles in this category, while in better current shape than Category 1, are still missing something. They have the potential to be truly high-quality content, and may have been at one point. With work, they can be brought up to dizzying heights. This issue's Category 2 articles are: Rope (film): Hitchcock's classic attempt to shoot an entire film in a single shot, Rope is both a significant note in cinematic history and, in recent years, conceptualized as an important piece of Hays Code-era gay cinema. It's a good watch, and the article should be just as solid. Currently it's a C-class with some unsourced content and an overreliance on block quotes. Rachel Pollack: One of the major occult writers of the 20th and 21st centuries (a book of hers is prominently involved in my quixotic "bring the Major Arcana to FT" plan), not to mention a significant fiction and comics writer collaborating with names such as Neil Gaiman and Grant Morrison, Pollack's article has quite a bit of room for improvement to quality-assessed levels. Though her article's lead is short and the work as a whole underreferenced, plenty of opportunities exist to improve it. Narrative paradigm: Despite this article's High or Top importance across multiple wikiprojects, it's in a sorry state. Perhaps unsurprisingly, it was subjected to a WikiEd course some time back. Significant potential lies within the idea that all human communication is narrative; the article must be accordingly strong. Category 3 Articles in this category have been assessed through a content review process in the past, but may require work to be brought up to current GA/FA standard. Editors can help bring them to a level where the star or plus near their names can once again shine. This issue's Category 3 articles are: Jaime King: This GA on a famous model of the 1990s has been recommended for GAR. Unreferenced sections and low-quality references are a problem for this BLP. Dartmouth College: This FA is at FARC and on the brink of delisting, but the issues mentioned -- accessibility, WP:LEADCITE compliance, and overreliance on primary sources -- are far from insurmountable, and an editor could certainly polish off this star. Tamil language: Another FARC, this is the native language of 75 million people (including my own stepmother) and the language of one of the world's great classical traditions. It's afflicted by a lack of sourcing and particularly issues with inline citations. Letter from the Editor This issue's subscriber suggestion, again from BOZ, is: Dice: This former GA was delisted in 2009. It's a big topic to a lot of different subjects, and deserves a top-quality article. I changed the text, from predecessor to last game they made, because predecessor usually means the last game in the same series as the next game, which honkai isn't isnt apart of the genshin impact series, only relating to it with who made it, would you agree with me ? (talk page stalker) @Reesashukla: As @Vaticidalprophet: mentions in their AFD comment (Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Deep Datewas and then the bottom comment) the main issue is that the sources you cite are screenshots of articles, without any context. This makes it hard to A) assess if the source is a reliable source, which are required for articles about living people and B) makes it incredibly hard to run them through a translation software, which makes reading and therefore assesing them impossible for people who don't speak the language. If you could replace the screenshots with links to the source of the screenshots this would help a great deal, although even then it is not guarenteed the article will be kept. Asartea problem is that print newspapers has no e-paper websites and state dominated newspaper mostly don't keep archive of 4-5 years. they keep only for 1 month. there is links available for old news, we can get old news only in print methods. only international agencies keep archive of decades in their servers. so that's why i need a good way to sort it out. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Reesashukla (talk • contribs) 16:38, 25 May 2021 (UTC)

(talk page stalker) @Reesashukla: The issue is that without a link to the published source, or some way of accessing it via a newspaper archive, there's no way for other editors to verify the source. Do you have information regarding the publication titles, so that someone could at least attempt to find the articles somewhere? If not, I fear that the article won't be suitable for inclusion in Wikipedia. The issue isn't that the sources aren't in English, the issue would be verification that the source was indeed published by whatever organisation you claim, and that it supports the information in the article. Note that I'm not necessarily doubting that as such, merely saying that at present we have no way to verify it. firefly ( t · c ) 18:18, 25 May 2021 (UTC)
