Is there a reason, why the bot adding the promoted featured articles at the top of the list instead of the bottom? Examples: 1, 2 or 3. Regards, Armbrust The Homunculus 16:08, 22 October 2025 (UTC)

Possibly because it is so much easier to do. However I have now taught the Bot how to put new entries at the end. Hawkeye7 (discuss) 01:08, 23 October 2025 (UTC)

FACBot not copying over GA topic when converting failed FACs

In these edits FACBot folds the GA template into AH without copying over the topic= field. This creates a display error, and seems odd as I don't think it generally causes this error. CMD (talk) 02:46, 10 November 2025 (UTC)

I am not seeing any display error and Template:Article history does not have a Good article |topic= parameter. Hawkeye7 (discuss) 03:56, 10 November 2025 (UTC)
The |topic= parameter is the subject of the third paragraph of the documentation. CMD (talk) 05:37, 10 November 2025 (UTC)
FACBot is also removing the article's listing as a GA, the |currentstatus= should be set to FFAC/GA per the AH documentation, not FFAC by itself. CMD (talk) 05:42, 10 November 2025 (UTC)
Okay, I will fix this. Hawkeye7 (discuss) 06:30, 10 November 2025 (UTC)
Thanks! CMD (talk) 06:41, 10 November 2025 (UTC)

FACBot failing at FLC?

Hi, reporting that 6 lists were promoted and 7 demoted at FLC on November 8, and another list was promoted on November 9, but FACBot only ran on one of the promotions on November 8, mostly did the demotions but left the star(s) on the page(s) and did nothing to the rest. It didn't pick them up last night either, which is what I was waiting on before reporting. --PresN 12:47, 10 November 2025 (UTC)

There could be a related problem at FAR: article demoted but the bot not picking up the later steps. Thanks. DrKay (talk) 12:52, 10 November 2025 (UTC)
There was an issue, so I stopped processing while I addressed it. I hope to have it resolved in the next day or so. Hawkeye7 (discuss) 18:17, 10 November 2025 (UTC)
Cool, no worries and no rush, just wanted to make sure you knew about it. --PresN 20:15, 10 November 2025 (UTC)
Just to note two articles demoted at FAR on the 22nd have not been processed, in case you thought you'd fixed the problem and weren't aware. Thanks. DrKay (talk) 17:43, 24 November 2025 (UTC)
I will investigate. Hawkeye7 (discuss) 18:18, 24 November 2025 (UTC)
I see the problem. It has been rectified, and the articles have been processed. Hawkeye7 (discuss) 23:51, 24 November 2025 (UTC)

Looks like a similar issue is back? The bot closed several FLRC discussions but didn't remove the FL star from the articles (examples: The O.C. season 1 and its FLRC, The Real Housewives of Atlanta season 6 and its FLRC). RunningTiger123 (talk) 04:47, 12 December 2025 (UTC)

I will investigate. Hawkeye7 (discuss) 05:01, 12 December 2025 (UTC)
This has been corrected and the offending articles have been reprocessed. Hawkeye7 (discuss) 03:54, 13 December 2025 (UTC)

ANI notice

Information icon There is currently a discussion at Wikipedia:Administrators' noticeboard/Incidents regarding an issue with which you may have been involved. The discussion is about the topic Moons of Neptune. –LaundryPizza03 (d) 05:16, 13 December 2025 (UTC)

Okay, it was closed as not an ANI issue, but the issue of removing a large chunk of content while de-tagging a demoted FL still warrants investigation. –LaundryPizza03 (d) 07:54, 13 December 2025 (UTC)
My apologies. This was a one-off manual run to correct the issue reported in the section above. I will investigate the root cause and ensure that it cannot happen again. Hawkeye7 (discuss) 09:30, 13 December 2025 (UTC)
The problem has been investigated. The root cause has been found. The library has been updated to resolve the issue, and a test has been added to the test suite to ensure that it will not recur. Again, apologies for this, which I should have noticed. Hawkeye7 (discuss) 20:32, 13 December 2025 (UTC)
