Question from Longing-Lion (06:40, 20 November 2025)

Hello. I want to edit a math article and write equations. How can I do that? It involves integrals and differentials. Do I need to know special code? Thank you. --Longing-Lion (talk) 06:40, 20 November 2025 (UTC)

Hello! It gets a bit complicated, but it's all covered on this page: Help:Displaying a formula. If you need assistance, you can ask at the Teahouse where folks will be happy to help. —Ganesha811 (talk) 20:42, 20 November 2025 (UTC)

Question from Andreasrocha (09:34, 21 November 2025)

Hi Ganesha

My name is Andreas Rocha and I am from Lisbon/Portugal. I want to publish a page but I do not know how to submit it for revision. 4 days have passed since I started editing the page and I already did more than 10 edits to other pages. What am I missing?

Thank you. Regards Andreas --Andreasrocha (talk) 09:34, 21 November 2025 (UTC)

Hello Andreas!
I am not Ganesha, but I think I can answer your question. You can create a draft here. After that, you should be able to click "submit draft for review" at the top of the page in the header. If you need any other clarification, let me know! Good luck and rock on!
⚠︎ ArkadenBoden ⚠︎ (talk) 16:03, 21 November 2025 (UTC)
Hello! ArkadenBoden has answered your question very ably - I just wanted to also mention that you should take a look at the WP:Plain and simple COI guide. It's not encouraged to write an article about yourself, and if you do, you should disclose your conflict of interest and let others implement your proposals. —Ganesha811 (talk) 13:44, 23 November 2025 (UTC)

Question from Icraftsmanship (16:31, 21 November 2025)

How do I go about getting my company's Wikipedia page up and running? I just created an account but I can't seem to find where I can create my company's page? Please advise. Thank you for your time and assistance. --Icraftsmanship (talk) 16:31, 21 November 2025 (UTC)

Hello! Please read over the WP:Plain and simple COI guide. It's not encouraged to write an article about your company, and if you do, you should disclose your conflict of interest and go through the WP:Article wizard process. —Ganesha811 (talk) 13:45, 23 November 2025 (UTC)

Question from Jonathanallor (10:18, 23 November 2025)

Do you think Alan Albern Block deserves a wikipedia page?Ive started a draft for one. --Jonathanallor (talk) 10:18, 23 November 2025 (UTC)

Hello! That depends on if block is notable or not. Wikipedia's "general notability guideline" says that someone is probably notable if they are covered in-depth in multiple independent, reliable sources. Can you find those for Block? Are there books about Block, or in-depth newspaper or academic articles? Thanks for contributing to Wikipedia! —Ganesha811 (talk) 13:47, 23 November 2025 (UTC)

Question from Sanchezdelrio (09:39, 25 November 2025)

Hello, the other day I translated "Secure by design" to Spanish but when I searched it this morning it says that it was deleted. Can you tell me why or how to restore it please? It is a good translation I didn't add anything just straight translation to Spanish. Thank you. --Sanchezdelrio (talk) 09:39, 25 November 2025 (UTC)

Hello. Was this on the English Wikipedia, or on the Spanish Wikipedia? If the latter, I'm afraid you'll have to ask for assistance there. —Ganesha811 (talk) 11:53, 26 November 2025 (UTC)

Question from Lopsd (00:44, 26 November 2025)

Hey Ganesha811,

I was wondering how do I become a Wikipedia AFC reviewer? I see so many ads to apply but I have no idea how. --Lopsd (talk) 00:44, 26 November 2025 (UTC)

Hello. You can follow the instructions and guidelines written here: Wikipedia:WikiProject Articles for creation/Participants. However, you should know that you will need more experience before becoming an AfC reviewer. Your account is required to be at least 90 days old, and to have contributed 500 edits to articles. I recommend waiting for even longer than that to make sure you thoroughly understand our policies and guidelines before applying. It's a great role, and we'd appreciate you volunteering, but be patient and enjoy contributing to articles yourself before beginning to review them. —Ganesha811 (talk) 11:56, 26 November 2025 (UTC)

Question from Quietcounterpoint (19:16, 26 November 2025)

Hi Ganesha811! You've been assigned as my mentor. :)

I've created a few edits and am starting a page about my work as a classical music composer. My edits right now pertain to work related to me, and I've been noting conflicts of interest. I'm being careful to ensure the sources are independent vs anyone's personal website.

If you happen to have time in the next few weeks to see if I'm approaching this in the right way, I'd really appreciate it!

Thank you --Quietcounterpoint (talk) 19:16, 26 November 2025 (UTC)

Hello! So far you are doing great, and I appreciate you disclosing your COI. You could also put a COI notice on your own user page (here); follow the instructions at Template:User COI. I'm happy to help if needed. I would note that while updating titles of works you composed or noting adaptations is productive, writing a neutral, high-quality article about yourself (as you are drafting in the sandbox) is very tough and I wouldn't recommend it. If you are indeed notable, then someone else will come along and create the article at some point. It'd be great to have your contributions on other topics you're interested in that you don't have a COI for, perhaps modern classical music or choral works in general. There's lots of friendly editors working in that space. —Ganesha811 (talk) 19:36, 26 November 2025 (UTC)

Hi, this has been listed for a TFA in February at pending. I have tentatively reserved a date for it, but if you would still like it be considered you will need to nominate it at Wikipedia:Today's featured article/requests, which is now open. Cheers. Gog the Mild (talk) 22:21, 2 December 2025 (UTC)

This is great! I'm quite busy atm but I'll take a look as soon as I can. Thanks. —Ganesha811 (talk) 15:59, 3 December 2025 (UTC)

Question from SebsMBYTES (02:00, 6 December 2025)

Hello Ganesha811! I was doing some edits and was wondering what is Wikipedia's stance on spacing after a period? I've seen articles with two spaces after a period and others with just one. Your answer would be a great help and I would be very grateful. --SebsMBYTES (talk) 02:00, 6 December 2025 (UTC)

Hello! This is covered in the Manual of Style at MOS:DOUBLESPACE. As it says there, Some editors place two spaces after a period or full stop (see Sentence spacing); these are condensed to one space when the page is rendered, so it does not affect what readers see.. —Ganesha811 (talk) 12:06, 6 December 2025 (UTC)

Hi there. I see you've made a ton of edits to Feeding Our Future. Do you know if there is a larger article about the recent allegations of fraud in Minnesota? This was the only one I could find. Thanks! Magnolia677 (talk) 17:51, 6 December 2025 (UTC)

I don't believe so, but I'm not sure a standalone article would work well given the varied nature of the alleged crimes and schemes. Some haven't even been charged, others (like FoF) are years old. I think a subsection of Crime in Minnesota would probably make sense, though. —Ganesha811 (talk) 18:03, 6 December 2025 (UTC)
I've gone ahead and created a subsection at Crime in Minnesota which could be expanded/improved. —Ganesha811 (talk) 18:10, 6 December 2025 (UTC)
I was thinking of something like "2025 Minnesota Fraud Investigation"...or something like that. I've been reading tons of news about this. There was also a connection to autism charities. Magnolia677 (talk) 18:20, 6 December 2025 (UTC)
A Wikipedia article should have a single, clearly-defined topic. There is no one investigation into fraud in Minnesota, there are a number, some dating back years. Some frauds may not be formally investigated as some state programs were shut early. Some cases have resulted in criminal charges - others, so far, have not. All of this can be adequately covered at Crime in Minnesota, while I worry that trying to write a single article about the sprawling set of circumstances would lead to a WP:COATRACK article without clarity of purpose. —Ganesha811 (talk) 18:24, 6 December 2025 (UTC)

  • Starting on November 4, the IP addresses of logged-out editors are no longer being publicly displayed. Instead, they will have a temporary account associated with their edits.
  • Administrators will now find that Special:MergeHistory is now significantly more flexible about what it can merge. It can now merge sections taken from the middle of the history of the source (rather than only the start) and insert revisions anywhere in the history of the destination page (rather than only the start). Question from Youreironic (02:21, 9 December 2025)

Hello Ganesha811,

I was wondering what I could add to improve my draft page User:Youreironic/sandbox/SellAuth, I currently don't know what else to add. --Youreironic (talk) 02:21, 9 December 2025 (UTC)

Hello and welcome! I think you'd want to add more sources that talk about SellAuth in depth, showing that the company is notable. As far as I can see, the Reuters article doesn't even mention them specifically. Generally, we want at least 2-3 reliable sources that cover the topic in-depth, so at least a few paragraphs of focus on them. Right now, there's nothing to show why this company is notable enough to have a Wikipedia article. Also, though it may not apply, please check out the WP:Plain and simple conflict of interest guide. —Ganesha811 (talk) 15:23, 9 December 2025 (UTC)

GA review request

Hi. I’m not sure if you remember me from the GA nominations of Coronation of Mindon Min and Death and state funeral of Mindon Min about four years ago. I would like to kindly request your review again, this time for Setkya Dewi, if you have some free time. Of course, I completely understand if you are busy, so please only take a look if it is convenient for you. Thank you in advance. Htanaungg (talk) 00:56, 12 December 2025 (UTC)

Hello! I'll take a look, but may not have time soon with the holidays coming up. If it hasn't been picked up yet after Christmas, I may be able to do it. —Ganesha811 (talk) 00:51, 14 December 2025 (UTC)
Thank you, and I hope you have a happy Christmas! Htanaungg (talk) 10:53, 14 December 2025 (UTC)

Hello Ganesha811, quick question

Hi, according to an email, you are my mentor; looking forward to learning from you. This morning I created the following page: https://en.wikipedia.orghttps://wikious.com/en/Cueva_del_Nitro

My question is, can i add column on the right hand side of the page so that i can add a map and a link to this geolocation: https://goo.gl/maps/6wgPeRmpHMMEZkLN8 But would the url goo.gl be rejected the same way the youtu.be was rejected?

Thanks! Julio Fernandez (talk) 22:58, 13 December 2025 (UTC)

Hello and welcome! This is a great contribution. What you probably want to add is an infobox, as you've seen on other Wikipedia articles. If you follow the guidance on that linked page, you should be able to add a map - if you need help, just let me know. Wikipedia maps are usually not based on Google Maps - they're based on OpenStreetMaps. The infobox template you want to use is Template:Infobox cave - there are instructions there for how to add it. Again, happy to assist if needed. —Ganesha811 (talk) 00:50, 14 December 2025 (UTC)
You made great updates; thanks! I will now edit the Zapatoca page so that it links to this new page. Julio Fernandez (talk) 02:28, 14 December 2025 (UTC)

Question from Saadtastic on Benjamin Fish Austin (01:28, 14 December 2025)

is it ok to cite a book from internet archive? --Saadtastic (talk) 01:28, 14 December 2025 (UTC)

Yes, as long as the book is WP:Reliable. —Ganesha811 (talk) 15:57, 16 December 2025 (UTC)

Question from Youreironic (18:35, 15 December 2025)

Is it possible to change the capitalization of my username to be YoureIronic? When I signed up it said it wasn't allowed and would be automatically changed to Youreironic, why is this? --Youreironic (talk) 18:35, 15 December 2025 (UTC)

Have a look at Wikipedia:Changing username - there are guidelines there. I'm not sure why the system would have told you that, tbh. —Ganesha811 (talk) 15:57, 16 December 2025 (UTC)
