You are now a Reviewer

Hello. Your account has been granted the "reviewer" userright, allowing you to review other users' edits on certain flagged pages. Pending changes, also known as flagged protection, will be commencing a two-month trial at approximately 23:00, 2010 June 15 (UTC).

Reviewers can review edits made by users who are not autoconfirmed to articles placed under flagged protection. Flagged protection is applied to only a small number of articles, similarly to how semi-protection is applied but in a more controlled way for the trial.

When reviewing, edits should be accepted if they are not obvious vandalism or BLP violations, and not clearly problematic in light of the reason given for protection (see Wikipedia:Reviewing process). More detailed documentation and guidelines can be found here.

If you do not want this userright, you may ask any administrator to remove it for you at any time. Courcelles (talk) 05:06, 16 June 2010 (UTC)

  • Reviewing/patrolling a page doesn't take much time, but it requires a strong understanding of Wikipedia’s CSD policy and notability guidelines.

The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail.

disambiguation

Hi there. I noticed in this edit you added a new article with a precise title formatted as "Village name, Higher subdivision name".

At the same time, the simple title "Village name" was occupied by another similar topic. It's apparent you noticed it, because you placed a hatnote at the top of the new article to link to the other topic.

However, it's unlikely that a reader would land at "Village name, Higher subdivision name" and be looking for "Village name" in another jurisdiction. So the hatnote didn't make sense. If anything, it's the reverse - someone might look up just "Village name" and expect to be able to find another place.

When you notice this sort of a thing in the future, please feel free to move the article at "Village name" to be more precise, and then edit that newly created redirect in order to disambiguate the base village name title and link all topics named the same way.

TIA. --Joy (talk) 09:11, 18 December 2025 (UTC)
