Regarding Herman op den Graeff May be you should try a google book search (since if you do a regular search only the nonsense produced by family members turns up). you will find that the only facts on the wiki article are that a guy called Herman up den Graeff was a Mennonite immigrant from Germany. Anything else (plantagenet, de Graeff-link to the Netherlands, Holy Grail) is COMPLETE NONSENSE. if any of the claims made (obviously made by family members) on the wiki page were true, don't you think that such an important person (remember, he was allegedly a "guardian of the Holy grail") would be mentioned extensively in historic literature on google books; obviously this is not the case. F.ex. he claim that he was a descendent of the De Graeff family in Amsterdam or a descendent of House of Cleves is plain B*llsht*t. Check Nederland's Adelsboek, Europäische Stammtalfen etc. Hence i think it's better to let the public decide; that's why i suggested that the page should be deleted.
I see that the "orphan" proposal for deletion was from an Italian IP address. I wonder if it might be related to the Italian company LSDroid S.R.L., which sells software called "Cerberus" (in a SEO effort). (I was deleting the proposal, but see you got there first). I'm new to this, but is it currently up for deletion? It's listed on the talk page, but there's no correlate tag within the article itself. It's unclear why it was nominated without such a tag. Evanroden1 (talk) 01:18, 22 April 2024 (UTC)
I'm assuming you're going to be putting things back piecemeal as you can source/verify them? The Tri-Cities Herald appears to have reliably sourced the background on the 17-year-old girlfriend, and didn't name her. I expect this will be deleted in due course per PERP and NOTNEWS, but in the mean time, we should have a DUE summary of RS'es for people who do want our take on it, right? Thanks for the SPA tags. I was about to do that. Maybe WP:SPI next? I don't have time tonight but will gladly do it tomorrow if you don't. A few hours is plenty of time (rope) to give them for their efforts. Cheers! JFHJr (㊟) 05:05, 30 April 2024 (UTC)
