I used certain CSS property to align links to the right between themselves, but still center the whole group in a table cell. This triggered the Fixed position vandalism (private) filter. This is needed for full-width layout in which the table is wide. All the other methods do not help, because they cause alignment issues in fixed-width layout (they cause the wrapping link text to stretch the outer <span> which prevents the second link from being centered). The relevant part is CVE column of BHI and Retbleed rows. I've already posted the rest of my edit, but there was an additional change. New summary:/* Vulnerabilities and mitigations summary */ BHI & Retbleed: Align CVEs in full-width layout.

What's the point to make it private BTW? Those trying to do this already know how to do this and it can't be bypassed if all possible ways are listed. And why does it say about "page-defacement attack"? This message is misleading. I thought that defacement is completely replacing a page with another one. If it also does some other checks, it would be better to call it "Page defacement vandalism". But the way it works would still be obvious to those trying to replace a page anyway.

Done and a change to the filter may be needed. As far as I can tell this isn't vandalism, and I've implemented the edit. I might suggest in the future, @EvgenKo423:, that you suggest these mass changes on the talk page, and that you simplify the edit summary a bit if possible, but otherwise good work, and thank you for your contributions. Will submit the filter to the noticeboard, I don't see any reason this is private either. --EggRoll97(talk) 16:38, 29 April 2024 (UTC)
Thanks, I hope not to make such huge edits in a future. =)) Unfortunately, it wasn't feasible to split the table edits mostly as it would leave the table in a WIP state for weeks. EvgenKo423 (talk) 07:18, 30 April 2024 (UTC)
In the edit in question, this IP added "allegedly" to a statement that someone had plotted a terrorist attack, changed ] to ], and changed a later appearance of "X" to ]. Whether the links and "allegedly" belong here is strictly a matter for human judgement, so the filter shouldn't be reporting it as a problem, especially since this caused a bot to report the IP for vandalism.
So it looks like some Twitter account (allegedly belonging to the subject of article) self-tags with (((triple parentheses)))), and a fix to a citation to that account triggered the filter. Frankly, I'm fine with each and every new user who adds triple parentheses at least being looked at at AIV/TB2. In most cases, they're using that "coincidence detector" browser extension, so it's a good red flag to look at their other edits. Excluding references won't work as usual, because that browser extension will still mangle text inside existing references. Suffusion of Yellow (talk) 21:12, 29 April 2024 (UTC)
I am trying to update our number of members and affiliates. We are a European level organisation whose number of members and affiliates changes approximately every two months, following the Board meetings. It is important that the numbers are correct and not old.

Done and a change to the filter may be needed. Ohnoitsjamie I believe this can be fixed in the filter. Nobody (talk) 10:50, 30 April 2024 (UTC)
There's not an easy way to fix that and still target an active LTA on that range. OhNoitsJamieTalk 11:50, 30 April 2024 (UTC)
I see the LTA hits you mean, but I'm not sure this is the best way to stop them with the amount of false positives there are. But I won't say more here for obvious reasons. Nobody (talk) 12:36, 30 April 2024 (UTC)
I was trying to fix some grammar errors and when I tried to submit, the error message popped out of nowhere.

Wikipedia is written in a variety of styles of English. You were changing an article from US English to British English. Please don't do that. PhilKnight (talk) 20:34, 30 April 2024 (UTC)

No, I have done much work attempting to correct the mess that is the Callyspongia aculeata page. The image of the conical, iridescent pink sponge being called "Callyspongia vaginalis" is actually Callyspongia plicifera. This was the image I was attempting to post as the profile image for C. plicifera page. I have also corrected the caption on the Callyspongia page that includes this same image as the profile image. This is a regularly misidentified group of organisms and wikipedia's sponge articles are in a very worrisome state. 2601:58D:300:DD10:BC44:93D8:A70E:9D95 (talk) 20:13, 30 April 2024 (UTC)
Done – The edit for this report has been implemented, however no changes to the filter were made. I wouldn't know a C. plicifera from a kitchen sponge, so taking this claim on good faith. Suffusion of Yellow (talk) 20:23, 30 April 2024 (UTC)

Not done – I'm pretty sure that when no primary topic exists, we don't do need to add the disambiguator. Also your edit wasn't disallowed. Rusty4321talkcontribs 00:36, 1 May 2024 (UTC)
