I indef blocked User:HelmandAGoGo (block log) on Sept 4 for self-admitted trolling on the Benny Hinn article in previous days. That article, about a somewhat controversial preacher, has been a moderate troll magnet over the last year. It has been semi-protected for some time. After HelmandAGoGo, we saw User:EvangelicalArrow pop up (created on Sept 24), mixed edit and trolling, which ended when Netsnipe blocked them on Oct 7. This pattern repeated with User:JesusLightsMyWay (created Oct 3, blocked by me today as an apparent sock of EvangelicalArrow) and User:WhenJesusreturnsinglory (created Oct 6, blocked by me today for the same reason). I strongly suspect this is a single returning repeat vandal creating new accounts before proceeding too far down the line, so that the new accounts are past the new user wait period for editing semi-protected articles before the old account becomes very active and is likely to be blocked. We can continue to respond on an individual basis as new accounts show up here, but if it is a wider abuse incident with a common troll behind it, I think we should try and ID them. I am adding User:Hoponhopoffpopoff to this request; same edit pattern (added many thousands of lines of insult to Benny Hinn last night, also accused Jimmy Wales of being a child rapist). This abuser is rather persistent... Georgewilliamherbert 19:47, 19 October 2007 (UTC)

This abuse is restricted to 2 IPs. I have blocked both of them for a period of time since almost all contribs are non helpful and they seem to be a source of non helpful new IDs.
