Our mission
Worldwide density of geotagged Wikipedia entries. Really adds a whole new meaning to the phrase, "Dark Continent"...
Like our WikiProject Africa brethren, we have before us a large task: filling in the gap on Wikipedia concerning all things Congolese. This is probably one of the more difficult country-topics to maintain; the Congo is one of largest and most diverse African states, and has been in a state of instability since 1997.
The advantage? A clean slate. WikiProject DRC members have considerable latitude to create, edit, and revise relevant articles without the disruption of conjecture additions, unduly weighted material, or in-general unhelpful good faith edits (though some of our higher profile articles do suffer from this e.g. Patrice Lumumba). The French Wikipedia is a good place to start when looking for holes to fix. Just about all areas of the project are open to improvement.

Jackninja5 (talk) 02:08, 1 February 2015 (UTC) The Democratic Republic of the Congo has become very interesting to me now. I never call it simply "Congo". The Second Congo War gets my attention because for some reason I make a lot of edits about wars.
Wowzers122 (talk·contribs) 21:00:51, 30 March 2025 (UTC) Mostly politics post-2006, especially post-2018. Occasionally, I write on stuff between 1990-2006 because there's a big content gap there, but I'm not as interested in that stuff.
