Huazhong Agricultural University (HZAU; 华中农业大学) is a public university in Wuhan, Hubei, China. It is affiliated with the Ministry of Education. The university is part of Project 211 and the Double First-Class Construction.
In 1952, Huazhong Agricultural College was established by merging the Agricultural College of Wuhan University, the whole Hubei Agricultural College, and some departments of Sun Yat-sen University, Nanchang University, He'nan University, Guangxi University, Hu'nan Agricultural College, and Jiangxi Agricultural College. In 1985, the school was renamed Huazhong Agricultural University.
